After being woken up and told what the hell was going on - and being massively confused - Ichigo's discreetly told the rest of his fellow reapers to meet up at his room at a time when Akira's out doing...something else.

When everyone's arrived, Ichigo just folds his arms and sits on his bed, looking at everyone there.]

Weren't we supposed to wait until next week? How the hell did someone get erased already?

[In a good mood, always, Izaya sits down on the other bed. It's almost bouncy how he does it, like he's really just a kid having fun.]

Who knows, who knows? After all, Max made the offer to help people out with killing. It isn't outside the realm of the normal for an ordinary human being to kill another one for some game or another.

[So long as it's not his bed, Izaya can bounce all he wants.]

So soon, though?

[Sorry, Izaya. He's not buying it.]

I mean, maybe...but normally, players are just settling in by the first week. I wouldn't think they'd jump to boons so quickly.

Although that's true... still, you can never underestimate the possibility of the unexpected or unlikely. In other words, it isn't impossible, so we can't totally discount it. However, it's also fine to look into other theories that might be true.

You really think that's normal?

[Maya jumps onto the bed next to him--so now it bounces again! Who let these children be around each other, honestly.]

Did you know people who would kill for fun, before?

Maybe 'normal' is taking it too far, but it isn't like murder is very strange among living people.

[Yay bouncing! At least Mary's a real child.]

I knew some people who enjoyed it for fun, or who liked torture and that kind of thing. Others didn't mind it because it was a job or whatever. To them, it was just a thing they did for money or to protect their interests.

Oh wow! You had a really, really interesting life full of so many colorful people!

[Mary no that's not...okay, sure.]

So the people here are really lively too, aren't they? That's why they're starting the game early!

Definitely, there were a lot of wonderfully interesting people that I knew when I was alive.

That's one possibility I don't want to discount. For that reason, we should all be careful that us and our partners aren't taken out by any of these lively participants.

[A good girl who has done nothing wrong ever. Akira and Lenka had gotten her a blobfish, so she has that with her now, hugging it and making faces at it as she shifts around impatiently.]

[Shhh it was not aimed at you, Mary. Ichigo just smiles at her, reaching out to give her a gentle headpat.]

Where'd you get that, Mary?

[Because it's....so uglycute??]

It was a present from my partner!

[She holds it out in front of her so Ichigo can get a better look.]

I haven't named him yet but I'm going to keep him forever.

[Mary pauses, then.]

If people are already erasing each other, they must really want to hurry up and be alive again. Do you think that's a bad omen?

He looks like a 'george', maybe? Or a 'Matsu'.

[He'll offer suggestions for the stuff toy's name, why the fuck not.

Though, at her question, his expression does darken a little.]

...Maybe. I didn't really expect the Players to erase each other like this so soon. Most of the time, they're pretty opposed to it - then again, most of the time they're actively fighting against the Reapers.

[This IS a pretty weird Game, after all.]

So...I can't really say if it is or it isn't.

So you think it was definitely one of us?

[That would make one of them a liar...! She looks down at the stuffed animal. George, huh? Maybe.]

That now seems highly unlikely. We must have an unexpectedly merciless playerbase on our hands.

Who were you most suspicious of?

Just if you had to pick somebody, I mean.

[ he rests his head against the palm of his hand. ]

A man who smiles and kills in equal amounts is never to be trusted.

Oh. I guess that makes sense. An assassin kills people professionally, right? He must reeeeeally like to kill people.

[But why would someone actually call themselves an assassin...?]

It sounds like he's just asking for trouble.

[Ooh are they naming suspicious people? Fun!]

My current top picks are Junko, Monika, and Caren. Not to say that I think it's necessarily so in this case, but all of them strike me as the type who don't have a problem killing.

Junko's reeaaally weird.

[They talked for like two seconds and she was absolutely a crazy person. Yeah.]

I haven't talked to Caren, but Monika doesn't seem so bad. Why do you think that she'd kill people?

She might be the weirdest person here.

[Fondly, though. Because weird humans are great.]

Monika is pretty nice, right? But there were a few comments I made about killing people that she took like they were nothing. In other words, her reaction to things is incongruous with the pleasant and unassuming personality of an average high school student. For that reason, I suspect she's capable of things that also don't quite fit.

Well, I mean... Being a good person wasn't a prerequisite to the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm surprised someone would do this so early on, but...

It feels like so many people here are super duper nice, though!

[She's not very good at filtering the good eggs from the bad ones.]
