[Orihime had been out scavenging to distract herself when Ichigo returned and started his fight with Jotaro. By the time she got back, the two had thrashed each other fairly well into the dirt. So she instinctively defaulted to her natural state as a "Healing Item", as Ginjo had referred to her.
But that didn't mean Ichigo wouldn't get an earful while she healed him. He couldn't get out of her dome once it was in place anyway]
You... You dumb boy! I was so... I was so worried!
[Although, to tell the truth, she was also relieved. Ichigo wasn't just alive again - he had his Fullbringer powers. Orihime was never really sure what happened to them or why he'd gone from Fullbringer back to Shinigami again - and Ichigo had never told her, either. But if he had some of his normal powers again here, it was a blessing of the highest order]
[Oh. There she is. He's lying on his back, a little bloody but mostly exhilarated. It'd been so long since he'd had an actual spar that he didn't even care that his body ached and that he was pretty sure he had a hairline fracture in at least one of his bones.
And as she comes over, he gives a goofy smile - only to stop at seeing the sadness and worry and relief in her soul, the way she sounds nearly in tears...
He sinks a little deeper into the earth, instantly feeling like an asshole. He'd just charged home without even talking to her, getting into a fight in his joy over having powers again. He didn't even think how she'd feel, or how worried she must have been that he'd never come back...]
...I'm sorry, Inoue.
[And he sincerely looks the part - all of enthusiasm and happiness has faded away, because orihime is upset and he caused it. Again.]
[That was said softly - she wasn't crying uncontrollably, and at least some of those were happy tears that he was back. Besides which, he was wearing his Fullbring, and she needed to comment on that]
You have your Fullbring back again.
[Yes, Ichigo, she knew about it all this time. She just never got the chance to say anything]
[Getting forgiven did feel pretty good - but that sentence catches him off guard. He tries to get up a little, feeling the pain begin to fade away.]
What do you mean?
[Inoue was apparently from his future, but...did he manage to gain back his shinigami powers by absorbing the others' fullbrings? If he did, that was certainly something to be happy about - but his current powers was more than enough for the Box.
At least, he hoped so. He'd still have to see how useful it was.]
Kurosaki-kun, you know how I said I was from a few months in your future? By then, you'd lost your Fullbringer powers and gotten your Shinigami powers back.
I don't... really know how that happened, though. I think I passed out after you finished your training somehow.
[Then....did that mean that he regained his shinigami powers without a hitch? and absorbed the other fullbringer abilities? After all, the last he remembered was activating his completed fullbring.
Hearing that Orihime apparently passed out afterwards wasn't good, though. His eyebrows knit together, Ichigo suddenly looking incredibly worried.]
Were you alright?
[Was it a side effect of being in Yukio's fullbring too long, or something?]
[Orihime stopped for a second to wonder why he'd apologize for that - was he supposed to tell her he was alive first?
And then a look of recognition dawned on her face as she realized what saying something like that meant. He felt it was wrong to not immediately go to her.
Ohhhhhhhh.
Suddenly Orihime felt like giggling]
It's alright. It was nice to get to see you fight again, anyway. And I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
[Goodness knew he'd had precious little of that lately]
[Have you realized a thing, Orihime? Good, because Ichigo still hasn't. Bear with this idiot.
At her assurance, he smiled - because truth be told, he did enjoy it. A lot. Raising his hand up, he stared at his own hand before letting flop to the ground.]
Yeah...I haven't fought like that in a while.
[There was the training with Ginjou, but that had been training - and except for the bit where he'd pretended to be evil, none of it could be considered a real fight. Jotaro had allowed him to really go all out - and he was sure the older man had enjoyed it just as much as he had, if those grins were anything to go by.]
[He's used to it, and if it's her...well, he doesn't even mind.]<small<
Yeah, they're...actually more like Zanpakuto then you'd think. They look like an extension of a person's soul to me.

She was the only Fullbringer they could find...
[Hime was still pretty sad over that. But they hadn't told her what had happened, so she figured there was a good reason for that]
no subject
[WELL THAT CERTAINLY DIDN'T SOUND OMINOUS. What could have happened? did they all end up -
No, there's no use in wondering about it. If it's in his future, then he'll end up learning about it, sooner or later.
So he just nods - and smiles gently at her, still feeling bad about not talking to her first.]
...I'm sorry about not talking to you first, Inoue. I guess I just got excited.
[And wanted really badly to test out his new powers, ok. But that doesn't excuse his thoughtlessness.]

...He hits like a truck.
[yep.]
no subject
Eh heh, you looked like you had fun. And I'm glad you found someone who'll fight with you like that.
[The urge to giggle was still there]
Of course he does! He's bigger than Sado-kun!
no subject
Well...yeah, but Chad doesn't have a stand.
[And while his fullbring was powerful, it didn't have the same force that Star Platinum did.
Still, by now he's been fixed up - and he stretches, gesturing to Orihime.]
I think I'm alright now, Inoue.
no subject
What was his stand like...? Is that like the... the vine things Joseph-san has?
Oh! That's what they thought my hairpins were!
no subject
[Seriously, what was even up with that. But -]
They thought you had a Stand?
[THAT'S....WEIRD]
no subject
Yeah! They did! I guess when they explained it, it sounded sort of the same?
no subject
[HE BLIND, HIME.]
Really? But...their stands don't use objects.
no subject
Maybe I should try and peek sometime!
I guess that's true... Maybe some of them do? But they seem to work on spiritual energy, like my hairpins.

Maybe... Maybe they're kind of the same thing? Like just in an alternate universe!
